I missed this news (how could I?! D:) but Airi was ON CNN. HOLY CRAP. Watch it below:

Airi was on CNN!! is that a first for an H!P member? hrmm. Either way, Airi/Buono!/C-ute need to come to LA America and perform already!

I was just cleaning out my Pictures folder and I found some Airi gifs! I’m not sure where I got these, I think I just collected them in random places over time I THINK one of them might be Henkka’s so I’m crediting him, but I’m really not sure where these came from! Enjoy anyway!

I can’t believe I never posted those last two gifs! They would have been pretty nice to use when it was announced that Kanna left, right? I don’t particularly like Kanna at all, but you can’t deny that she and Airi were pretty close. I guess Airi still has Risako, though? Airi, I don’t like your choice in friends.

That’s right folks, AIRICANDY. zush posted this on his blog and I am shocked. Each of the Buono! girls designed their own candy! Here’s Airi’s:

Buono! updated the profile pictures on their website! And, as you all know, I’m very happy about seeing Airi in the center, so here’s more rejoicing!

She looks stunning in her individual profile picture, doesn’t she n_n here’s to hoping for more Airi adorableness from Buono!

Actually, now that I think about it…if any of you readers haven’t watched Take it Easy! yet, SHAME ON YOU! It’s been out for a while now (it hasn’t really made much of a splash on the blogging community though, has it?) and of course, Airi gets a bit of love. Not quite as much attention as I’d have liked, but still center and all! Here’s the video:

Most of you guys are probably wondering why Tsuugaku has been dead silent despite all of the Airi buzz, and that’s mostly my fault. A combination of laziness, summer school, and listening to other artists has made both of my blogs fall by the wayside a little bit. I feel really guilty about this, but I hope I’ll be able to post more regularly now that summer school is over.

While I was gone, Airi decided that it would be a good idea to go into insane release mode, though! Her 4th photobook, Aoiro, and accompanying DVD, Pure Blue, were released and while I haven’t seen Aoiro yet (SCANS. I NEED SCANS DAMMIT.), Pure Blue was great who doesn’t want to watch Airi eating and riding a bike for about an hour! If you haven’t seen it yet (HOW COULD YOU), I suggest you head right on over to the H!O tracker and download it!

C-ute’s Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu was released recently as well, and while I wasn’t in love with the a-side (great song though), THE B-SIDE IS AN AIRI SOLO SONG!! I actually didn’t realize this for a while because I was so lukewarm about Shochuu that I didn’t immediately download it x_x fellow Tsuugaku blogger Wendy (also writer for 香水 or Kousui) mentioned it to me expecting me to be all OMGGGGGGGG over it, but I hadn’t even known! And I must say, Zansho Omimai Moshiagemasu tops all of her other solo songs, no competition. Have a listen!

It’s lovely, isn’t it! I love her high notes <3 I think her voice is more suited for ballad type songs rather than upbeat, but she sounds great singing any song! I might just have to purchase Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu soon so I can own this wonderful solo song n_n

With the departure of Umeda Erika from C-ute (if you haven't found out already, you've been living under a rock o_O), there's quite a bit of buzz and speculating going on about what's going to happen to C-ute. I think it's most likely that they'll just continue as a 5-nin group without any changes, but that's not what I want to happen! Honestly, I would die of happiness if Airi graduated from C-ute and became a soloist like Mano Erina. And by "like Mano Erina", I mean releasing singles left and right every other month! I'd buy all of them! It might seem a little ... WTF of me to say this, but I honestly don't really care what happens to C-ute. I love the members, but I seriously only watch their PVs for Airi .__. I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling this way (Hi Wendy) and I'm praying Airi goes solo (C-ute used to just be Airi solos with backup vocalists anyways--now it's Airi/Maimi duets and I don't care about Maimi) so I can have 3-5 minutes of undiluted Airi awesomeness XD

And lastly, covers for Buono!'s latest single, Take it Easy!, have been released, and that's reason for Airi fans everywhere to rejoice! Take a look:

HOW AWESOME IS THAT. I am now completely amped for this single, even if the song sucks (unlikely because it’s Buono!, of course XD), I don’t care because AIRI WILL BE THE CENTER. Unless they break my heart and put Momo in the center again (unlikely because Airi’s the center for the cover?), this means Airi in the middle! On top of that, the LE cover photo (with the skateboard) looks like it was taken in LA! I’m talking about the palm trees, of course! There’s palm trees all over the place here and now I can pretend Airi visited my city though it might be depressing to think that Airi was in LA and I didn’t see her… .__. but yep, I do adore this single now because it looks like it was shot somewhere that looks like LA (…I’m not delusional enough to think Airi went to California o_O) and because Airi will be in the middle! *happy dance* the only thing that could top this is Airi going solo! or releasing yet another photobook. Or maybe suddenly deciding she wants to settle down and have a nice quiet life in LA and attend my high school… okay now I’m just talking crazy XD and if you’ve read this far, you are now caught up with Airi going-ons in the H!P world!

Okay, I decided to do this month’s Wota Wonderings over at Tsuugaku Vector because… well let’s just look at the question, first of all:

Hoping we’re not all shallow wotas, imagine your favourite idol (or musical personality) switched bodies with someone you don’t find “visually pleasing”, would it affect your love for that idol in any way/shape/form?

That’s a toughey. Suzuki Airi is my number one favorite idol. I love everything about her from her hair to her teeth to her inner beauty(?). I love the way she acts, I love her voice, I love all of her weird little habits. But…a lot of my love of Airi comes from staring at gorgeous photos of her or ogling her ass in concerts. So would I love Airi if she weren’t so shy and cute in the Massara Blue Jeans PV?

I’d like to say yes. Possibly. The first time I noticed Airi was because I was going :O! at her high voice in the MBJ PV and I loved it the first time I heard it. So, I was immediately drawn to her. (It also helped that she looked so cuuute that I couldn’t stop staring at her! I’m creepy ) However, it’s also possible that if she were unattractive, I’d have just gone “OH BLOODY HELL WHO IS THAT EW” and ignored her despite her lovely voice. I think that she would have definitely had a harder time climbing to the top of my list if she were “unattractive”, but she definitely would have gotten up there with time. It would have taken a much longer time for me to realize how wonderful she is, but eventually, I think I’d love her.

I mean, let’s look at someone who is GENERALLY considered unattractive. Not many people liked Linlin last year, did they? I think she was last place in Paul’s Hello! Blog Ranking poll and there weren’t too many people cheering for her. Now look at her! She has tons of fans, everyone loves her and her great Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? solo line, and she’s really shown what a great personality she has. So, no, it’s not impossible for an idol to have favorites even if she’s not exactly a Sayumi.

This brings up a sort of interesting point (to me at least). What if there’s an alternate universe out there where the idol you find the most unattractive is actually amazingly hot? In that other universe, you’re going OH YEAH I LOVE HER, SHE’S AMAZING AND SHE’S SO PRETTY. But, in this universe, she’s just that weird unattractive idol you don’t pay attention to. She has the same exact personality going for her as in that alternate universe, but it all comes down to how she looks. So, to just reverse this a little, why don’t you try to learn more about that idol you “hate”? You could be missing out on a great idol simply because she isn’t pretty. Why not forget about her physical looks and see through to her great voice or her funny side? I’m going to start by trying to like Arihara Kan–*shot*.

But, let’s just rejoice in the fact that our Airi is actually the cutest idol in the world!
